Donations
Day after day, month after month, we receive donations of food, clothing, and household items through the doors of our Stapleton Road facility. Cash donations are also very welcome, and we do our best to stretch every dollar. In fiscal year 2025, we received $1,021,345 from fundraising, grants, federal EFSP grants, Catholic Parishioner donations, local community donors, and multiple grants from The Firstenburg Foundation, Community Foundation for SW Washington, KMR Group Foundation, Eton Lane Foundation, Joseph E Weston Foundation, The Wolf Family Charitable Foundation, and anonymous assorted charitable trusts and grant funds from individuals. With this financial support, we were able to provide over $4,855,267 in assistance to our clients. Additionally, the Clark County Food Bank provides food free to us under the The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), and through the Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP).
We keep our overhead expenses to a minimum thanks to the dozens of volunteers who visit those requesting rent assistance, pick up food, sort clothing, answer the telephones, stock the shelves and clothing racks, and greet clients who come to our facility.
We do not operate a thrift store. All donations are distributed to our clients at no charge.
Due to space limitations, we can accept only:
- Food (unopened packages, within the "sell by" period)
- Clothing (new or gently used, clean items)
- Small household items (dishes, kitchen utensils, towels, sheets, etc.)
- Hygiene supplies (laundry detergent, paper products, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.)
- And, of course, cash
